I graduated in 2005 from SMC and entered the work force where I spent three years in technical staffing. I realized that my passion, energy, and desire for accomplishment was always connected to helping and teaching people, especially youth. I took time off to finish my credential, and I haven’t looked back.

Teaching/Educational Philosophy: Social Studies are vital in that they remind us how actions, decisions, and events have real, intended, and unintended consequences; therefore, our ability to decipher and think critically of such events makes us more active and prepared citizens. Students must be ready for participation in a world of constant change and inter-connectedness. The environment I am inspired to create is one of academic community. The best teachers are often students, and it is my hope they will see the inherent value in growing together as a community of learners.

Personal Notes: We create culture. Create every day.
