AP Honor Chemistry

Mr. Ethan Schnell Schnell has been teaching for 8 years to date, teaching his second year of AP/Honors Chemistry at Dougherty Valley High School now. He has a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Biotechnology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, as well as a M.S. in Education from Cal State East Bay. His students had a 94% pass rate (87% pass rate overall) on the AP Chemistry Test from 2009-2010 and an 85% average Proficient/Advanced score on the STAR test. He has a “learn by doing” teaching philosophy, with an emphasis on fun.
