AP Biology

Mrs. Sanderson: She has been teaching at a middle school in the San Ramon Unified School District for several years. With her multiple teaching credentials, and her degree in biology, Mrs. Sanderson has taught both Core and science within the SRVUSD. She is  currently teaching 7th grade Core (English and history).  At STC, She is teaching 4th grade English writing, and has offered programs of SAT (Biology subject), Honors Chemistry preview and AP Biology preview at STC during the summer term. Mrs. Sanderson recently completed a Masters in Education, Technology in Education degree

Ms. Ana Rosa She graduated from Cal State East Bay with a Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She has worked at Lawrence Livermore National Lab for the past three years in the Biosciences and Biotechnology Division. At the Livermore lab, Ana and her fellow researchers aim to develop a rapid yet comprehensive detection and diagnostic system to detect and protect against a biological terrorist attack. Ana has experience as a Biology tutor at Granada High School. She is a volunteer science fair judge at the annual Science Odyssey and the Tri-Valley Science and Engineering Fair. Ana also had a great season as a JV waterpolo coach at Foothill High School.




Ms.Celena Carrillo Celena Carrillo graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology. She is currently a research Biologist in the Applied Genomics Group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The focus of her research is developing assays for the detection and identification of biological threat agents. She has five years of experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate student interns in conducting research biology, and enjoys mentoring student interns and helping them build confidence in their critical thinking and problem solving skills.



Mr. Ehson Ghandehari Ehson Ghandehari is currently a PhD student, majoring in Biomedical Engineering from UC Davis.  As his research thesis, he is developing novel diagnostic biomedical devices at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, CA).  He received his bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering at Semnan University (Semnan, Iran), and he was awarded a master’s degree in Materials Engineering from San Jose State University.  He worked for two years at NASA Ames Research Center (Mountain view, CA) as a process engineering intern.  He has been teaching Math classes for different levels, from 6th grade to SAT level, since he joined STC in Summer 2012.
